Shoko's first compilation album, released just before the marathon recording sessions for RadioGenic commenced. The album featured two new songs -- "Anata wo Shitte Irukara" was released as a single, but I prefer the poppier, more-uptempo "Kaze ni Orenai Hana" (and oddly enough, "Kaze ni Orenai Hana" has appeared on subsequent Shoko Suzuki best-of collections, but "Anata wo Shitte Irukara" didn't appear on another collection until SHO-CO-SONGS collection 2). Of note is the fact that Hourglass was completely ignored in the track listing of this album. It could be because it had just been released the prior year, but knowing about the difficulties surrounding Shoko's next album, I wouldn't be surprised if executives at Epic/Sony were less-than-enthralled with Hourglass and thus ignored it.
This album is out of print, but all of the tracks collected within are available on the SHO-CO-SONGS 1 & 2 collections.
