This is a live film combined with a documentary on Shoko, featuring brief clips from throughout her career; and also extensive interviews with Shoko herself, as well as many of the artists she has worked with (including Yuji Katsui, Masahiro Naoe, and Yumi Yoshimura). The live portion starts out with a solo acoustic version of the wonderful "holdmethrillmetrustmeloveme" -- which was only ever released on a giveaway single with an issue of CD Journal magazine -- then goes into a set featuring a band of Yuji Katsui (violin), Koudou Sakamoto (cello) and Yasuhiro Yoshigaki (drums), with Shoko herself playing keyboards, guitar and drums. "Nani ga Shitai no?" sounds very much like the album version (and indeed, the performace is intercut with footage of the song being recorded in the studio), while "Soshite nao Eien ni" begins with only Shoko on organ, before breaking out into a full-band version like the record. The best part of the band's set is the crazy performance of "Izon to Shihai," which begins normal enough...only to turn into a crazy, near atonal jam with Shoko alternating between a fierce drum solo and crazy shredding on her electric guitar. After that it's back to quiet solo performances, with Shoko on piano and acoustic guitar before ending with an acoustic version of "Boukyaku" playing over the end credits (almost like a PV, really).

An odd note: the place I ordered this DVD from -- and even the disc itself -- say this is a region-free disc (and thus can be played on all DVD players), but in reality it's region 2, like most other Japanese DVDs.
